trulli
Visit the city and its monuments, the MAPRI - Archaeological Museum, churches and medieval cloisters; do not miss the Tempio di San Giovanni al Sepolcro, a smaller reproduction of the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem. We also invite you to consult the section of our site where we publish some historical tours. Waiting for the plane? Stay at Cillarese Urban Park, on the way for the airport, where you can walk and relax in the green and between little lakes.
A tip: do shopping at the weekly market, which is a real typicality in Brindisi, located in the suburbs; until few years ago, it was one of the largest markets in Europe. With new, vintage, clothing, crafts, food, etc, you can go there every Thursday with city bus ( and please be careful to your wallet).
At sunset, take a walk on the waterfront of the port - here the office of tourism promotion - where you can admire the Roman Columns and taste our local products at some wine bar and restaurants. Do serve the roses' well-chilled wine, top of the local wines, accompanied by typical friselline seasoned with tomatoes and our excellent extra virgin olive oil. Take the motorboat - urban transport service on the sea - and reach the opposite bank, where you can relax in the gardens of the Monument to the Sailor, or visit the Fisherman's Village.
